Mar de Jade -- situated on the Pacific coast of Mexico between the blue-green sea and tropical mountainside of Chacala Beach -- is surrounded by natural beauty and tranquility. It is the ideal location to connect with yourself, deepen your practice, and explore the rich culture of Mexico.
Join Liza Toft and I for a seven-day retreat in this spectacular location, 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta airport by car. Each day, we will teach two yoga classes suitable for all levels from relative beginners to more advanced practitioners - an active asana practice in the morning and a restorative pranayama practice in the evening. If you have any physical issues or injuries, we will help you modify for them.
Through our practice in this nature-drenched setting, we will explore the relationship between the various aspects of our elemental nature and bring them into balance.
There will be plenty of time between sessions for optional excursions (including a tour of the Altavista petroglyphs, traditional Mexican markets, nearby villages and beach towns, whale watching, and a boat trip), spa treatments, or simply relaxing at Mar de Jade.
Prices range from $1690-$3050, depending on choice of accommodation (please go to www.mardejade.com for descriptions). This includes all yoga classes, meals, and seven nights accommodation. It does not include airfare to Puerto Vallarta, ground transportation, spa treatments, bar drinks, or gratuities.
An Early Bird Special is available through September 15. For more information or to register, contact Eve.
Mar de Jade was created in 1983 in the spirit of active community service, gratitude for the natural environment, and cultivation of human life. To that end, it has founded numerous community projects, including regeneration of the land via non-toxic farming methods on a 19-acre organic farm, and an after-school program for local children in Las Varas, a nearby farming village. It is far more than a vacation destination; it is a community we love to return to year after year.
